Gorilla Wins 2nd IMA; Launches Custo Barcelona ROW Site
For the second time in as many weeks, Gorilla has been honored by the Interactive Media Council (IMC) with an award for Outstanding Achievement. The 2nd Interactive Media Award™ comes in the ecommerce category, as the result of our work redesigning and developing the U.S. destination site for international fashion retailer Custo Barcelona.
The IMA coincides with the launch of the Custo Barcelona Rest of World (ROW) site, which follows the debut of the award-winning U.S. site. With the launch of their ROW site, the multichannel merchant is now able to conduct business in 5 additional languages (Spanish, Catalan, French, Italian and German), with support for multiple currencies. The launch also implements dual U.S.-European ERP integration to enable global inventory and distribution management. And both sites work to create a “virtual red carpet” for the retailer’s bold, California-inspired apparel.
The IMC, a nonprofit organization of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals, sponsors the Interactive Media Awards to “recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development”, with awards based on criteria including design, content, functionality, usability and development best practices.
