Gorilla’s novel solution provides Brightstar with a custom “General Storefront”, which includes Magento back-end ehancements that add functionality to capture the unique data sets needed to complete each order. Through these additions and modifications, VARs and government agencies are able to place individual and bulk orders for themselves and for their own customers.
Through an extension of the General Store known as the Map Portal, a VAR’s customers can then configure their orders to their specifications. The process incorporates carrier and service plan selection, account registration and activation, line porting, area code selection and customer email notifications into a single order workflow, as well as pulling carrier-specific requirements into each order. The solution’s framework allows Brightstar to easily create new online storefronts to serve different customer segments.
