Huzza is an emerging luxury lifestyle retailer, specializing in one-of-a-kind, hard to find goods that span from vintage home furnishings to contemporary fashion apparel. Huzza connected with Gorilla to build their initial ecommerce channel and bring their brand and unique products to a larger audience, leveraging the flexibility of the Magento Enterprise platform.

In creating Huzza’s first foray into ecommerce, Gorilla fashioned a design concept that recreates the sophisticated in-store shopping experience that has long greeted the brand’s retail customers. The effective use of white space guarantees each unique product is the star of the show, highlighting the focus on quality and beauty through the use of a fade-in fade-out effect, which keeps pricing and product details hidden until mouse roll-over.  This is supplemented by generous hi-res images with full zoom capabilities on product detail pages, accompanied by related complimentary products to encourage higher average order values. To engage shoppers across channels, “magic zoom” functionality was added to mirror the product zoom feature on iPads and tablet devices.
