To simplify site migration, which included over a million internal and external links and a customer base of 40,000 in addition to their massive product catalog, Gorilla back-end developers wrote and deployed specialized scripts to manage and speed up the process. At the same time, our Content Strategy team created a detailed roadmap for managing the generation and transfer of site content. To make product discovery and shopping as easy as possible, we implemented a complete redesign of the product catalog and implemented numerous user interface and back-end functional enhancements. These include customized drop-down navigation, manufacturer branded landing pages, a page-level mini shopping cart view and the infrastructure to implement a customer segment-specific tiered rewards program. To enable deep, real-time product personalization, we integrated Adobe Scene 7 with Magento to create a custom envelope printing configurator supporting user-submitted artwork.
