For B2B manufacturers and distributors collecting between $50 and $500 million in annual revenue, investing in digital is no longer simply an option.
In order to maintain and grow their customer base, which is steadily becoming a younger workforce, these companies need to consider their customers’ buying journeys and leverage digital as part of a holistic go-to-market strategy. In response to this growing demand for digital solutions addressing issues within the mid market, Forrester Research recently released the most recent edition of its Wave Report tailored towards B2B commerce suites for the mid market. Evaluation criteria for vendors included:
- Whether the vendor demonstrated a strong focus on B2B commerce through their current offerings and product strategy
- Whether the vendor possessed critical components of a standalone B2B commerce suite
- Whether the vendor met the minimum revenue threshold criteria
- Whether the vendor had notable mindshare and adoption within the mid market

After being spun off from eBay Inc. several years ago, and under the helm of private equity firm Permira, Magento has invested heavily in their product offerings and is primed to be a key player for mid market B2B organizations’ digital initiatives. Primarily known for its feature-rich enterprise solution SAP Hybris was recently featured as a Leader in the 2017 B2B Commerce Suites, Q1 2017 Report from Forrester which stakes its claim as a platform that could be configured to meet the most complex enterprise digital business needs.
