O Canada! Gorilla’s CEO Brian Grady, paid a visit to our Montreal office with exciting news — plans to further invest in the city. Gorilla Group’s Montreal location has proven to be a force to be reckoned with. Five years since opening our doors we’ve grown the team from 0 to 70 talented individuals, designed a successful Bootcamp program for recruiting and training recent graduates, and diversified our expertise into related fields such as cybersecurity. Now, we’re ready to continue growing by diving into Montreal’s vast pool of talent.
Brian Grady spent his time in Montreal building valuable relationships with some of the city’s key players. Accompanied by Nathanael Tombs, Head of Montreal Operations and Security Partner Lead, the two met with members of the Economic Development Committee, agencies dedicated to driving local investment – Montreal International and Investissement Québec, and local journalists, all in an effort to increase our Montreal footprint.
Home to a booming tech sector, Montreal is an ideal hub to expand operations. After hearing about Gorilla’s growth strategy, the Mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, shared these sentiments: “Montréal is on a roll. When a global ecommerce solutions leader such as Gorilla Group expands here, it bolsters our reputation as a city of talent and innovation. This announcement also proves that Montréal is able to attract and retain big names in tech by leveraging its vibrant environment and social diversity.” During his stay, Brian was presented with a Montreal Canadiens hockey jersey signed by Mayor Valérie Plante. This prized gift acts as both an emblem of our success, and a symbol of the partnership between Gorilla and Montreal.
