Adhering to the attention to quality and handcrafted methods that define the “maker movement” has made Garrett Popcorn Shops® a Chicago Tradition that’s quickly becoming a worldwide favorite.Garrett was faced with the need to boost conversions and sales through their ecommerce channel, as well as better present a brand and user experience reflective of the Garrett Popcorn brand. Garrett Popcorn Shops subsequently partnered with us to devise a comprehensive ecommerce strategy that included the redesign and migration of their flagship site.
We closely collaborated with the Garrett team throughout the user experience and creative phases, consultatively addressing the impacts of design decisions big and small. This resulted in a gorgeously responsive designed site that incorporates rich product photography within a framework that blends the primary shopping funnel with the storytelling, philanthropic, and community aspects of the brand.
To add necessary functionality and scalability, the site was migrated to the Magento Enterprise platform. We worked further to integrate Magento with Garrett’s back-office systems. We then developed build-a-tin functionality that enables customers to quickly personalize their orders from over 3500 possible flavor and packaging combinations.
Working within an aggressive timeline, we were able to maintain scope to have the site operational in time for the busy year-end gift-giving season. This coincided with the 65th Anniversary of Garrett Popcorn, along with their largest ever promotional campaign, which resulted in the highest visit and order volumes the new site has experienced, with no impact to site performance. Post-launch, the site is hosted on Gorilla’s cloud hosting environment and supported by our Managed Services.
Since launch, the new site has delivered on its promise of better connecting with new and existing fans of the brand and has produced results to match.
