Founded in 1949, this international jewelry retailer has expanded rapidly through a series of acquisitions, and now owns and operates multiple subsidiaries, with annual revenue of approximately $6.6 billion. Those approximately 3,600 subsidiary stores, including Kay Jewelers, Zales, Jared, H.Samuel, Ernest Jones, Peoples Jewellers, and Piercing Pagoda, have retail locations across all 50 states, as well as in the UK and Canada.
The jewelry conglomerate initially partnered with Gorilla to centralize updates and stabilize their various commerce properties for their corporate entity. This partnership has since transformed into an ongoing enterprise, multi-brand digital commerce program for one of the world’s largest retail corporations on IBM Websphere, as the organization continues to place an increased emphasis on driving online sales that complement and influence in store sales.
Gorilla works closely with the retailer’s corporate team as a key technology implementer to drive projects in a number of digital arenas, including integrations, UI/UX, and omnichannel initiatives.
The most recent initiatives within the SAP-Hybris platform have ranged from the consolidation and implementation of distribution center shipping rules based on geography, brand, and product, to integrating online with in-store retail systems with in-store product lookups across thousands of retail outlets.
