As the ultimate online resource for the graphics community, The Paper Mill Store offers their customers a host of custom services and a vast catalog of over 25,000 products while maintaining 100% sustainable business practices. To position them to better manage their rapid growth and improve the customer experience through the digital channel, we worked with The Papermill Store to devise a 100% sustainable ecommerce solution.

Approach

To simplify site migration, which included over a million internal and external links and a customer base of 40,000, in addition to their massive product catalog, Gorilla back-end developers wrote and deployed specialized scripts to manage and speed up the process. At the same time, our Content Strategy team created a detailed roadmap for managing the generation and transfer of site content.

To make product discovery and shopping as easy as possible, we completely reconfigured the product catalog, updated the navigation architecture, and implemented numerous user interface and back-end functional enhancements. These include customized drop-down navigation, manufacturer branded landing pages, a page-level mini shopping cart view and the infrastructure to implement a customer segment-specific tiered rewards program. To enable deep, real-time product personalization, we integrated Adobe Scene 7 with Magento to create a custom envelope printing configurator supporting user-submitted artwork.
