Challenge

A division of Ebay, PayPal is the industry leader in worldwide payment processing, enabling millions of daily transactions via the internet, mobile devices, and in store. Looking to facilitate a cross-channel commerce project on a global scale, PayPal partnered with Gorilla to design and implement a unique storefront on the Magento Enterprise platform.

Approach

We teamed with PayPal to roll out an international multi-phase project. For the US, UK, and Australia launches, we performed technical discovery in collaboration with the PayPal team and used those insights to integrate the Magento shopping cart with the new application. This provides end-users with a seamless web view of the cart within the smartphone app experience on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Key functionality includes single sign-on to validate users and eliminate the need for unnecessary logins. We also integrated Magento with PayPal’s order management system to automate back office activities and manage the order lifecycle.
