Challenge

The Grommet is a unique online marketplace that features original and refreshingly innovative products inspired by customer submissions. Funded in part by Japanese ecommerce giant and Pinterest investor, Rakuten, The Grommet hails itself as the “birthplace of citizen commerce,” a new way for customers to discover and purchase products. Looking for an innovative approach to ecommerce that was more reflective of their brand, The Grommet engaged with Gorilla for a full site discovery and redesign utilizing a responsive design framework.

Approach

We designed and built a fully responsive website that delivers intentional customer experiences through “every screen ecommerce”. The responsive design interface allows The Grommet to seamlessly connect and build relationships with target audiences across devices, from desktop to tablets to mobile. Our design team worked with The Grommet in the midst of their rebranding campaign to implement a clean, modern look and feel that uniquely reflects The Grommet brand. Finally, we collaborated with The Grommet’s back-end development team, providing them with custom front-end code to aid in the site implementation.
